Website hosting, Nigeria

A website on your .ng domain.

Your name, a WordPress site behind it, HTTPS on, always awake — for ₦10,000 a month in naira. The domain is connected for you when it was bought here. Cancel monthly.

₦10,000/month on Starter · one WordPress website · always on · prices exclude 7.5% VAT

WordPress, with its database

The site and its own MariaDB, set up together. You finish the WordPress install and log in to wp-admin.

Your .ng domain

A name bought from OneBit is pointed at the site for you. A name from elsewhere needs two DNS records, shown on screen.

HTTPS, always on

A certificate is issued and renewed by itself. Paid plans never sleep, so the site answers at 3 a.m. too.

Paid in naira, monthly

Nigerian card or bank transfer through Paystack. Cancel any month; there is no multi-year contract to buy.

How it goes

Buy or bring a domain. Add a website. The name points itself.

Three screens, on a phone if that is what you have. No server, no cPanel, no nameserver change for a name bought here.

Questions

Asked before paying

I just bought a .com.ng domain. How do I put a website on it?
Sign in to the OneBit console with the account that bought the domain, open Apps, press Add an app and choose WordPress. Name it after your domain, keep "a new database, just for it", and pick Starter if you are on Free. The domain is pointed at the site for you; a few minutes later it opens to the WordPress install page.
What does it cost to host a website in Nigeria on OneBit?
₦10,000 a month on Starter, plus 7.5% VAT, paid in naira. That is one WordPress website with its database, HTTPS and always-on hosting. The domain is priced separately at domain.onebit.ng/pricing.
Do I need to buy the domain from OneBit?
No. A domain from any registrar works; you add two DNS records there, which the console shows you. A .ng name bought from OneBit skips that step because the records are written for you.
Is this shared hosting with cPanel?
No. There is no cPanel and no server to manage. WordPress runs as an app on OneBit Deploy with its own database, and you manage the site from wp-admin and the OneBit console.
Can I run more than one website?
Starter runs one WordPress website — it is the plan for one project. Hobby and Enterprise run more than one, and add managed databases for other apps.
Can I cancel if the business changes its mind?
Yes. Plans are monthly, in naira, through your OneBit account. Cancel and the plan ends at the close of the month you paid for. There is no multi-year lock-in.
Does OneBit design the website or write the content?
No. OneBit hosts the site, its database and its domain. The design is a WordPress theme you choose, and the pages are yours to write or to hand to a designer.
What about email on my domain?
Email is not part of this plan. Your domain’s DNS at domain.onebit.ng accepts the MX records of any email provider, so you can use one of your choice alongside the website.
